It is very easy to send money from our many MoneyGram Locations here in Belize.

When you visit a MoneyGram location be sure to have your valid ID ready. Acceptable forms of identification are Belize Social Security or Passport only. Please note that a city driver license is not accepted.

You will also need to have correct information about the person you are sending money to. You must be careful to include their full, correct name exactly as it appears on their identification. It is also a good idea to have their email and phone number as well.

After the send money process is complete, you will be given a transaction code that you need to keep and share with the person receiving the money. They will be required to present that code in order to pickup their remittance.

You will need to present the MoneyGram agent with the transaction code associated with your money transfer.  You can get the transfer code from the sender.

  1. You can send to almost all countries
  2. There are restrictions on some countries
  3. You can send up to $1000 Belize Dollars per transaction
  4. You must have a Central Bank permit to send more than $1000 Belize Dollars
  5. Receiving more than $2000 Belize Dollars, requires documentation of intended use of funds.
